Spotted

Summary

Spotted arrays are the most flexible form of microarray-based expression analyses. Gene-specific, amino-modified oligonucleotides (or cDNAs/PCR products) are spotted on coated slides using a spotter and then fixed to the surface by means of covalent binding. The MAD produces high-density microarrays in-house by printing oligonucleotides or cDNAs on glass slides. We offer customers microarrays spotted from our in-house oligo libraries. Moreover, customers are given the opportunity to spot their own oligo/cDNA sets (with a maximum of 24.000 spots per slide) on request. We also offer the opportunity to design gene-specific probes. Besides our spotting activities, we also provide full service of expression analysis with spotted arrays including:

  • quality control of provided total RNA samples
  • labelling of the target sample
  • hybridisation of microarray with labelled target
  • scanning of hybridised microarray
  • extraction of microarray data from scan image
